i searched the fourms before i posted so im sorry if this is a double post.I purchased movie studio 13 about a year ago was never able to get it installed. Today i thought to install it after rummaging through my drawer. even though u bought movie studio 13.0 its says its platinum off the disc and when i enter the serial number it says its invalid that it has to start with 1ST. For some reason my starts with 1SZ is there any mod that can help me im not sure where to fill out a support ticket. thanksadditional info: win10 cpu1100T gpu7970 12Gb ram

Thank you so much this info really helped me. Apparently the disc i bought from walmart includes movie studio platinum on the disc while i have a regular version serial number hence the differece between 1SZ VS 1ST.
I bought it over a year ago so I highly doubt Walmart would let me exchange it. I downloaded movie studio 13 from the magix website serial key worked perfectly. My only concern is that they are selling the wrong CD keys with the work product. If mine was wrong there has to be others.
The email from 2015 only has an order number, no serial number or product key. When I log into Sony Creatives Software, I can see the order under the "orders" section, but there is nothing listed under "software". When I attempt to view the order, it brings me to Magix, then Magix asks for the serial number, which I don't have.
As I said, I've already attempted to find the information I need through Sony. All that I've been able to find is the product order number: no serial, product, activation, registration number or anything. This is the same story with Magix and Vegas. I am only getting prompted to provide the information, not given it.
It's best if you contact support. I found them helpful when I upgraded to VMS 16 and my email server blocked the email containing the serial numbers (due to temporarily misconfigured spam protection). They resent the email to another address for me.
